Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Gain On Higher Demand
New Delhi: Copper futures on Friday rose 0.21 per cent to Rs 841 per kilogram on the back of higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for February delivery climbed Rs 1.80 or 0.21 per cent to Rs 841 per kg in a business turnover of 3,592 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
Aluminium prices on Friday rose Rs 1.45 to Rs 253.60 per kilogram in the futures market as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in February increased Rs 1.45 or 0.58 per cent to Rs 253.60 per kg in 1,144 lots. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
